EIA-232 models are available in two-, four- or eight-port models, while the EIA-422 models are offered with four or eight ports. The EIA-422 solutions enable users to transmit signals over greater distances and at higher speeds than standard EIA-232 communications and are generally immune to electrical interference and surges. These benefits make the EIA-422 solution a smart choice for industrial and manufacturing applications as well as widespread point-of-sale operations.
The AccelePort Xe supports a broad spectrum of operating environments–from SCO®, Novell®, Linux®, and Microsoft®. Other device drivers are available from your Digi representative or can be easily downloaded from Digi's Web site or FTP server.
